Remington 700 Pistol
Remington 700 Pistol has a history of producing bolt action pistols
starting with XP100 mid grip and continuing to the Custom Shop 40XP pistols.
However the Model 700-CP (Chassis Pistol) is built around the new Remington 700 Chassis system
and is designed to provide an accurate and compact pistol that can easily be used for
long-range, hunting, or range shooting.
Moreover the short action Model 700-CP will be initially offered in 300 Blackout,
.223 Remington, .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor and will come with 10 Round mags for each.
The Remington 700 CP is a pistol version of their 700PCR (Precision Chassis Rifle).
In fact, the 700CP shares the same chassis as the PCR.
The only difference is that it has a shorter MLOK handguard vs
the PCR’s longer teardrop style handguard.
Also, the Rem 700 cp does not have a stock, since it is a pistol.
The Remington model 700 CP comes in three calibers: .223 Remington, .300 AAC BLK, and .308 Win
In addition the Remington 700 series rifles often come with a 3-, 4- or 5-round
internal magazine depending on the caliber chambered,
some of which have a hinged floor-plate for quick unloading,
and some of which are “blind” (with no floor-plate).
The rifle can also be ordered with a detachable box magazine.
The Remington 700 Pistol Chassis is available in many different stock,
barrel and caliber configurations, with many third-party and aftermarket variants
in the market built on the same action footprint.
How Reliable are Remington 700 Pistol?

However Remington 700 pistol model has been the preferred choice for millions of hunters,
shooting sports enthusiasts and military and law enforcement personnel.
Despite emotional reporting of baseless and unproven allegations and plaintiff lawyer assertions,
several undisputed facts remain.

with over 5 million rifles produced and billions of rounds fired over nearly five decades.
Are Remington 700 Pistol Still Being Made?
Remington Outdoor Company filed bankruptcy in mid 2020,
and as of right now Remington firearms are not being produced.
However in 2019 Remington introduce the 700 chassis pistol (CP) version
of its legendary model 700 bolt action rifle.
Bolted into and aluminum chassis, the action uses a detachable magazine
and its chambered for 5.56/.223 Remington, 300 Blackout and 308 Winchester Cartridge’s.
But for 2020 Remington has decided to offer the 700 CP in the popular 6.5 Creedmoor.
Big Green has also made the Remington 700 pistol available with and SB Tactical arm brace,
which makes the pistol even easier to shoot.
On July 28, 2020, Remington filed again for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection,
and its assets were divided up and sold to various buyers.
However the Remington brand name was bought by Vista Outdoor,
which uses it to market several types of ammunition.
